Behind the Lens

Mt. Rokko - John Eather

Hi! I’m John Eather. Thanks for stopping by.

My Background

I’m an Aussie living in Japan who enjoys shooting photos with a Full Frame camera and a M43 camera system.

Although I started photography on an APS-C Nikon, later moving up to the Full Frame sensor. I really enjoy the incredible detail that the Full Frame is capable of delivering.

I own a Nikon D700 & Nikon F4 (film camera) which I absolutely adore, but I sold most of my newer lenses on Yahoo Auction (Japan) and bought a few cheap old ones which are in superb condition. The photos are still amazing!

I believe that all cameras these days are capable of taking gorgeous photos and I’m not into knocking any brand or camera system. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. Just find the one that works for you and enjoy taking pictures.

My Goal

I hope to showcase photos from the Full Frame system on this website and to give my opinions regarding the camera world, particularly Full Frame cameras. No matter the system you are using, please come and enjoy my blog and feel free to leave your comments.
